Allow nature and love to guide the way.

Legend says that sea turtles are “aumākua” spiritual guardians, navigators that guided the first Polynesians to the Hawaiian islands. Symbols of good luck and longevity, they are a bridge between humans, land and sea.

Initially, I had something entirely different planned that day— a shoot in an underwater cave. When we arrived, a white tip reef shark was patrolling the entrance so decided to wait it out. Moments later, this large green sea turtle came flying out, just as Dani was about to swim forward. We had a few seconds to capture a string of synchronistic moments that became Emergence.

This is a reminder that even when things aren’t going as planned, perhaps it’s because there’s something even better awaiting you to unfold.

The sea turtle symbol helps us recognize that we are home wherever we go, a reminder to surrender, trust the present and invite the flow into your life.
